Our Night Time Modern Cloth Nappy - Moon & Stars by My Little Gumnut, is a great way to save over 3,000 disposable nappies in baby's first year. Environmentally friendly, cost effective and easy to use, all while providing efficiency for you and comfort for your baby.
The nappies are very simple to use and wash - as we all know, things that are complicated generally don't lead to long lasting change.
They feature high quality fabrics and materials which have been ethically sourced and made. My Little Gumnut have been working alongside Australian artists for many years to bring you beautifully crafted, unique designs.
What you get
1x Night Time Modern Cloth Nappy - Moon & Stars with reusable bamboo charcoal insert
Nappy Composition
Specially designed for night time use when additional absorbency is required. The nappies have 2 components – a soft, breathable and water-resistant outer layer (“the shell”) and a super thirsty insert.
The shell is made with an ultrasoft water-resistant material on the outside and a pocket made with 100% bamboo charcoal fleece on the inside. The bamboo charcoal quickly draws away any moisture from babies skin and into the bamboo charcoal insert, keeping them dry and comfortable.
Having this layer of protection between the insert and babies skin, allows for the insert to be changed without having to change the complete nappy (please note, it is recommended to change the entire nappy every 2-3 changes however if baby soils, the entire nappy will need to be changed).
The inserts are made with 2 layers of 100% bamboo charcoal on the outside and are filled with 3 layers of ultra thirsty microfiber on the inside. The bamboo charcoal draws the wetness into the absorbency layers and hold it there for longer, keeping baby dryer for longer during the night. The insert will slide into the pocket of the shell, to create the perfect cloth nappy system for your little one.
As baby grows and extra absorbency is needed to get baby through the night, simply add an extra insert inside the pocket to double the absorbency.
The stay dry nappy design leaves your babies skin feeling dry which will decrease the likelihood of your little one developing any sort of nappy rash.
PLEASE NOTE: Night time nappies should be washed 6-8 times before use to boost the absorbency.
Sizing
My Little Gumnut aim to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible. Which is why their cloth nappies are adjustable to grow with your baby. The reusable nappies are suitable for weight ranges 3-18kg.
Adjustable to fit Newborn – Toddler
All of our MCN’s are fully adjustable and made to fit from newborn until toilet training, meaning there is no need to buy more every time bub has a growth spurt. Using the snaps at the front allows you to adjust the length of the nappy, while the snaps at the top allows you to fasten around the legs and waist.
Prevent Leakages
While leakages will occur from time to time in any nappy system, ongoing leakages should not occur. If you are experiencing ongoing leakages with your nappies, there may be a number of factors contributing to this. Please go to our FAQs for troubleshooting tips.
Liners
Modern Cloth Nappies come complete and ready to use, however you may wish to add a liner to assist with clean up. My Little Gumnut bamboo liners are specifically designed to catch the solids and make the clean-up process easier and quicker for you.
They have created 2 designs of liners to suit your specific needs:
- Bio-Liners are designed as a single-use liner. After use, simply dispose of the solids into the toilet then dispose of the liner into the bin or compost.
- Reusable Bamboo Liners are designed to be used over and over again. After use, simply dispose of the solids into the toilet, rinse the liner under the tap and wash with your reusable nappies.
Manufacturer's Recommended Care Guide
Caring for your MCN’s is pain-free with these 4 easy steps:
- Rinse off any solids (or remove solids with your Flushable Bamboo Liner)
- Place in a dry bucket with a lid
- Machine wash with your usual detergent (a quarter to half a scoop only)
- Line dry in the sun.
The sun will act as a natural disinfectant and draw out any stains, eliminating the need to use whiteners, brighteners or softeners. Always wash your MCN’s 2-3 times before use to boost the absorbency of the inserts.
PLEASE NOTE: We recommend washing nappies in cold water and line drying in the sun. If you prefer to wash in warm water, the water temperature should never exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Never dry your outer shells in the dryer.
